Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas offers extra services called Value-Added Services (VAS) to our plan members. The VAS below is designed with your health and wellness in mind.

Meals Delivered After a Hospital Stay

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas sabe que la nutrición es importante para la salud general de su hijo. Es por eso que ofrecemos un beneficio de comidas a aquellos asegurados que cumplan con los requisitos. It includes up to 14 frozen meals per year for a qualifying hospital discharge. Estas comidas se entregan cuando el asegurado sale del hospital.

Limitations: Members must meet qualifying diagnosis criteria. In-home meal delivery will only be available for one hospitalization per year. There is a maximum of 14 meals per year. Parents or LARs must work through their Service Coordinator to determine eligibility and to order the meals. Meals will be shipped to the address provided to the vendor at time of order. The request for meals must be made within 30 days of discharge.
