Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas offers extra services called Value-Added Services (VAS) to our plan members. The VAS below is designed with your health and wellness in mind.

Meals Delivered After a Hospital Stay

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas sabe que la nutrición es importante para la salud general de su hijo. Es por eso que ofrecemos un beneficio de comidas a aquellos asegurados que cumplan con los requisitos. It includes up to 14 frozen meals per year. Estas comidas se entregan cuando el asegurado sale del hospital.

This will allow you and your family to focus on your child's health and safety instead of worrying about grocery shopping and fixing meals. Las comidas incluyen opciones para el almuerzo y la cena. The meals can be chosen from a menu. Special options include but are not limited to meals that are:

• comidas saludables para el corazón;
• comidas para diabéticos;
• comidas para pacientes con cáncer (preparadas según las recomendaciones nutricionales del American Institute for Cancer Research);
• sin gluten;
• vegetarianas;
• con bajo contenido de sodio.
