Benefits of Enrolling in the Special Beginnings® Program

Special Beginnings es un programa que está diseñado para ayudarle a comprender y controlar mejor su embarazo. Le recomendamos solicitar cobertura lo antes posible. Así podrá aprovechar todos los beneficios del programa.

Atención prenatal 

During pregnancy, you have access to a service coordinator (trained nurse). They can help you set up doctor visits and tests. Your service coordinator will check in with you to talk about how things are going. You will have access to classes and info to help you learn what to expect and how to make good choices to stay healthy. And you can earn gift cards for completing prenatal visits with your doctor.

Atención médica posparto 

After your baby is born, you still have support as you start your journey as a new parent. Your service coordinator can let you know how to find information about post-partum care. They will ask about how you and your baby are doing. Having trouble getting enough sleep? Dealing with depression? There are resources to help. You can also earn gift card rewards when you complete a timely post-partum visit with your doctor.

Congratulations on your new baby! If you need access to information about newborn care, we can help. Learn about good nutrition, breastfeeding, parenting and more with online resources. Check out helpful resources on many topics such as home visit programs and vaccines. If you have questions about your STAR plan, we can help. Para preguntar qué cubre la aseguradora, buscar un profesional médico o cambiar de médico de atención primaria (PCP, en inglés), solo llámenos. We are available Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Central Time.
